Atturo Launches Trail Blade AT2
Atturo Tire Corp. has launched the all-new Atturo Trail Blade AT2, an all-terrain tire that delivers "major gains" in several areas, according to Atturo officials.
"The AT2 features an exclusive Atturo tread pattern and delivers substantial improvements in both design and performance while continuing the value proposition that has made the Trail Blade family a popular choice with drivers and dealers."
The Trail Blade AT2 will be available in 29 sizes, covering wheel diameters from 15 through 20 inches in both LT and standard constructions.
"Dealers and industry professionals can get their first look at the new Trail Blade AT2 during the SEMA Show at Atturo booth #44113 and in the SEMA New Product Showcase."
Among performance enhancements provided by the Trail Blade AT2, "wet grip performance advances three full grades in standardized European performance testing. This substantial improvement translates to stronger wet-weather traction and braking performance.
"External rolling noise has also been reduced from 73 dB to 72 dB, providing lower measured road noise and contributing to a more comfortable driving experience.
"Importantly, Atturo achieved these improvements while maintaining the same rolling-resistance rating as the previous Trail Blade A/T due to an improved and refined tread compound. Both of these elements contribute to the suitability of the Trail Blade AT2 for hybrid and EV vehicles," say Atturo officials.
"Snow traction has also been improved, and the Trail Blade AT2 carries the 3-Peak Mountain Snowflake designation for severe snow service. Together, these changes give the AT2 better wet traction, improved snow performance and reduced noise without sacrificing efficiency and ride quality."
Atturo officials say the Trail Blade AT2 "is much more than an update to the original tire. Atturo developed an entirely new tread design engineered to provide the traction expected from an all-terrain tire while improving refinement for everyday highway use."
Key design elements include:
• Multiple biting edges that increase traction in dirt, mud, gravel and sand
• A variable-pitch tread design engineered to reduce noise for a more comfortable ride, and;
• 3D full-depth jagged sipes that provide snow and wet traction throughout the usable life of the tread, down to 5/32-inch tread depth.
In addition, the tire's wide tread channels have been designed to evacuate water, slush and mud from the contact patch and an updated sidewall styling that follows Atturo’s distinctive knife blade inspired design "gives the AT2 a more contemporary and aggressive appearance."
The tread design also delivers longer tread life, supported by an improved 55,000-mile tread life warranty.
“The original Trail Blade A/T established an important place in Atturo's lineup by giving drivers capable all-terrain performance at an attainable price,” said Michael Mathis, president of Atturo.
"With the Trail Blade AT2, we wanted to improve the things drivers experience every day — wet traction, snow performance, noise, tread life and appearance — without losing the value that defines the Atturo brand.”
The Trail Blade AT2 will begin arriving at Atturo dealers in January 2027.
