Teams competing in the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge will run on tires that feature Bridgestone's ENLITEN technology.
The tires are made with 63% recycled and renewable materials including recovered carbon black, recycled oil and rice husk silica, according to Bridgestone offiicials.
"The use of these tires also marks the first time ENLITEN technology will be used in motorsports," notes a Bridgestone spokesperson.
