Coats Unveils Direct-Drive Wheel Balancer

The new Coats Probalance E900 direct-drive wheel balencer features ride quality diagnostics.

The E900 uses a diagnostic roller and "ProMatch feature to measure radial run-out and address wheel and tire shape and defect issues before weights are applied," according to Coats officials.

The balancer also features a touchscreen interface that "feels like you're using a smartphone. It streamlines data collection, reducing the amount of manual input required for intensive areas like wheel diameter and width."

A Multi-Function Laser Module takes distance and diameter measurements, indicates weight placement locations and can diagnose rim defects.

Direct-drive technology integrates the wheel balancer's motor and spindle into a single, factory pre-balanced assembly "with zero noise and a 10-year direct-drive motor warranty."

The E900, which has five balancing modes, is designed to be serviced by Coats Connect Service, a service network of factory-trained technicians who are supported by a central dispatch.
