Several less-expensive brands appeared on MTD's tire brand market share lists for the first time in MTD's 2026 Facts Issue.
Many consumers who returned to the replacement tire market during 2025 traded down to less-expensive, third- and fourth-tier brands.
MTD's 2026 Facts Issue provides an exclusive look at United States replacement tire brand market share in both the passenger tire and light truck tire categories.
"While it's expected that some consumers will remain relatively immune to snowballing economic pressure and will continue to select tier-one and tier-two tire brands, less-expensive brands will remain an attractive option for budget-constrained buyers in 2026," writes MTD Editor Mike Manges, who adds that several less-expensive brands appeared on MTD's tire brand market share lists for the first time in MTD's 2026 Facts Issue.
