Hunter's Ultimate ADAS Approved by Rivian

Hunter Engineering Co.'s Ultimate ADAS, which is available to independent tire dealers, has been approved by Rivian for its complete vehicle line-up.

"Ultimate ADAS is Hunter’s innovative system for eliminating error-prone manual layouts common to static ADAS calibrations, combining standard-setting alignment technology with an efficient and easy-to-use guided target placement system for around-the-vehicle coverage," say Hunter officials.

"Gimbal-mounted lasers are the key component, helping reduce set-up time by up to 70 percent for some procedures. The laser gimbals and onscreen guidance dramatically increase target placement precision by automatically compensating for non-level floors, monitoring for placement errors and confirming accuracy with laser measurements each step of the way."

"The Rivian approval brings Hunter’s OEM total to nine for the award-winning alignment and static calibration system, joining Toyota, Lexus, Honda, Acura, Nissan, Infiniti, Subaru and Kia," say Hunter officials.

Additional OEM approvals are expected to be announced in the near future.

“Our R&D group put in significant effort to ensure Ultimate ADAS satisfies the target placement requirements for all Rivian platforms,” says David Agnew, Hunter ADAS product management.
