Nokian Names R&D Chief

Nokian Tyres has named Glenn Arbaugh as its head of research and development for North America.

Nokian officials say Arbaugh's appintment reinforced its "commitment to accelerating innovation and delivering products tailored to the evolving needs of drivers across the United States and Canada.

"Arbaugh assumes leadership of the region’s R&D function this month and will be based at Nokian Tyres’ advanced North American manufacturing facility and research center in Dayton, Tenn.

"With nearly 35 years of experience in the global tire industry, Arbaugh brings a distinguished background spanning technical center leadership, product development, engineering and design. In his new role, he will drive the development of next-generation tire solutions while advancing product quality and manufacturing excellence at the Dayton factory."

Nokian's North America R&D group "works in close partnership with Nokian Tyres’ global research teams in Finland, combining regional insight with world-class engineering expertise."
