Toyo Tire Corp. experienced a year-over-year sales decline during the first quarter of 2026.

Toyo Tire Corp. experienced a year-over-year sales decline during the first quarter of 2026.

Globally, the company posted $824.8 million in revenue, down 3.4% versus the same period last year.

Toyo's tire sales totaled around $751 million during the first three months of 2026, a year-over-year decrease of 3.6%.

NA activities

North America, Toyo's biggest region, was a bright spot for the company, generating slightly more than $581.6 million in sales during the first quarter of 2026, a year-over-year increase of nearly 1%.

In March, Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. launched the Toyo M165 commercial van all-season tire, "built to meet the rigorous stop-and-go demands of last-mile deliveries."

In April, the company began shipping out of its new distribution center in Shippensburg, Pa.

"The facility was built to support sales in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, align with mid-term growth plans and improve service times for key dealers and customers in the region," say Toyo officials.

The 409,500-square-foot warehouse has the capacity to house up to 368,000 tires.

The company also announced a number of executive promotions during the first quarter of 2026.

Further plans

In reaction to ongoing military conflict in the Middle East, Toyo disclosed a number of measures it's taking.

These include possible price "mark-ups in each market," ongoing negotiations with shipping companies, "expanding local production for local consumption," improving the company's sales mix and "drawing up and promoting concrete measures" to trim costs, according to company officials.

Toyo also has broken ground on a new research and development center at its plant in Serbia. The R&D center will begin operation in January 2027 and will serve as a "core hub for advanced processing technology."

2026 outlook

Toyo expects to post $1.86 billion in total revenue for the first half of 2026 - no change from the company's last first half forecast, issued three months ago.

For the full year, Toyo expects to generate $3.9 billion in sales, which Toyo officials say would equate to a 4.2% increase from 2025 numbers.
