Michelin Supports Tire Industry Scholarship

Michelin North America Inc. has donated $5,000 to the Tire Industry Scholarship program.

Michelin North America Inc. has donated $5,000 to the Tire Industry Scholarship program.

The program is administered by the Tire Industry Association (TIA), in partnership with the University of the Aftermarket Foundation.

"Michelin's support will help provide educational opportunities for students pursuing higher education while strengthening the future workforce of the tire and automotive service industries," say TIA officials.

"We are grateful to Michelin for supporting the Tire Industry Scholarship program and investing in the future of our industry," says TIA CEO Dick Gust.

"Scholarships like these help create opportunities for students while demonstrating our industry's commitment to developing the next generation of leaders, technicians and professionals."

According to TIA, Michelin joins a growing group of organizations that have contributed to the scholarship initiative, including Bridgestone Americas Inc., Hankook Tire America Corp., Kumho Tire U.S.A. Inc., Nitto Tire U.S.A. Inc., Toyo Tire U.S.A Corp., VIP Tires & Service and Yokohama Tire Corp.
