Coats Co. is relaunching its RC Series and expanding the lineup to pair existing RC tire changers with the new RC 450 and RC 550 wheel balancers.
The updated RC Series is built for tire dealers who seek "dependable additional capacity during seasonal rushes" and for general repair shops that service passenger cars and light trucks with common OEM fitments. The product line offers core tire-changing and balancing capabilities for everyday tire repairs, rotations, balancing and new tire sales, say Coats officials.
“The RC Series is for shops that want to say yes to more everyday tire service work,” says Kevin Keefe, director of marketing at Coats. “It gives general repair shops and tire dealers a dependable tire changer and balancer pair that fits how they work, supports the fitments they see most often and gives them the confidence of Coats behind it.”
While the new RC 450 and RC 550 wheel balancers replace the 1185 and 885 space-saving balancer line, the relaunched RC Series "brings tire changing and wheel balancing together under one lineup, giving shops a matched setup built around ease of use, serviceability and practical day-to-day capability."
RC tire changers remain part of the lineup and now feature a new modernized look, built on Coats rim clamp and swing arm designs.
"The new RC 450 and RC 550 balancers bring feature-rich 115V balancing capability to the same series, helping technicians move from tire changing to balancing in one connected workflow," according to officials.
Many Coats accessories can be added to increase fitment capability and help the equipment do more over time as shop needs change. The RC Series is also supported by Coats Connect, giving shops access to factory-trained service technicians, OEM parts and product support.
“The strength of the relaunched RC Series is the pairing,” says Kyle Harris, senior product manager at Coats. “A tire changer and balancer should work together as part of the same process. RC gives shops that connection in a way that is straightforward, serviceable and built around the tire work they handle every day.”
