Tekmetric has appointed Kristen Young as its first chief financial officer (CFO) as part of its growth strategy.
Young, who holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, joins Tekmetric from Grammarly, where she built the finance function as the company scaled to more than $700 million in annual revenue. She also led finance teams at Pivotal, an enterprise software company, and spent nearly five years at SurveyMonkey across M&A, business development and business operations.
"Shops feel it when we invest in the right things: in the product, in how fast we move, in the support they get," says Lauren Langston, president and chief operating officer of Tekmetric. "Bringing in Kristen at this stage is a deliberate bet on doing that even better. She’s seen what it takes to scale software that people genuinely rely on, and that’s exactly the kind of growth we’re building toward – on behalf of our shops and the whole industry.”
“Tekmetric has built something special: a platform shop owners genuinely rely on, in a market with room to run,” says Young. “What drew me in was a team that leads with mission over ego, paired with the rigor to match. My job is simple: make sure every dollar we invest makes Tekmetric better for shops and their customers.”
Tekmetric is an auto repair shop platform that offers shop management tools, payment and marketing systems and other technologies to improve productivity and profitability.
