Hunter Engineering received three PTEN Innovation Awards and one PTEN People’s Choice Award for 2026.

The PTEN Innovation Awards honor companies that help automotive repair professionals through innovative new tools and equipment, according to officials. Winners are selected by a third-party judging panel of technicians and shop owners.

The People’s Choice Awards are voted on by readers of PTEN Magazine, following the PTEN Innovation Awards selections.

Hunter’s 2026 PTEN Innovation Awards winners include:

Tire & Wheel Service category: The Road Force WalkAway wheel balancer, an autonomous machine that "shifts tire inflation to the balancer itself, cutting four-tire door-to-door changeover times by up to 44 percent," won in this category.

Inspection Tools & Lab Scopes Category: Hunter's Inspection Live software, designed for Hunter’s autonomous inspection system, "allows two service lanes to be run from a single console, and enables customers to conveniently receive over-the-air updates as soon as they’re ready."

Training category: Hunter University, a nationwide online and in-person training program, "collects all of Hunter’s comprehensive learning content in a single global platform."

Hunter University was also voted a winner in the 2026 PTEN People’s Choice Contest, say Hunter Engineering officials. The award is the fifth for the new platform since its introduction in 2024. Overall, Hunter has been gratified to receive 17 PTEN awards in the past four years.
