Vipal Rubber Corp. has designed the VT250 to perform in snow and mud conditions.
Vipal's VT250 joins the company's lineup of winter tires for medium trucks.
The VT250, available in the U.S. and Canada, is made of a special compound and features a tread pattern that Vipal says increases traction and offers self-cleaning properties to provide better grip in the mud and snow.
In addition to reducing uneven wear, the tread features the Eye Control system, a wear indicator, in the shape of an eye, which helps the user to monitor the wear level. The system makes it possible to identify anomalies in alignment, balance and geometry, as well as when it's time to remove the tire for retreading. The Eye Control system helps to preserve the casing and ensure the tire's durability.
Gabriel Fuma, commercial manager of Vipal NAFTA, says the tire has great potential in the North American market. "Vipal's VT250 has everything to become a reference when it comes to tread for severe snow conditions because of its advantages, which will easily be perceived by the market, as they match what the fleets need. The product was designed to serve fleets in the northern United States and Canada in the harsh winter, so installation is recommended immediately before winter."
The V250 joins Vipal’s line of snow treads, including the VT130 and VT220.
Leandro Rigon, Vipal's international business director, says "We are always focused on identifying needs and offering appropriate solutions to the different markets in which we operate. Carriers from cold regions of the globe, such as North America and Europe, need products that perform well in harsh conditions, and Vipal is always ready to offer the best solutions."
