Yokohama Tire Corp.'s new RY637 MSC (Maintenance Saving Concept) commercial truck tire is designed for steer axle applications.
The tire contains Yokohama's proprietary Stress Wear Control Groove to reduce tread edge contact pressure and its Stress Wear Control Rib to minimize wear, according to company officials.
The RY637 MSC also contains a top steel belt that extends to its shoulder for uniform rigidity and a new contour bead design to ensure that the tire sits evenly on the wheel.
It comes with a six-year limited warranty through three retreads, "plus an increased casing allowance."
