Titan International Inc. is making donations to non-profit organizations through its Goodyears Ahead campaign. Visitors to the company's www.goodyearsahead.com website can select one of the five groups to receive a $5 donation from company.
Organizations include the Future Farmers of America; Feeding America, which has a nationwide network of more than 200 food banks; Farm Rescue, which plants and harvests crops for family farmers who have experienced a major illness, injury or natural disaster; Frontline Food, which raised funds to support local restaurants and feed workers; and Action Against Hunger Candada, an international organization that battles hunger and its root causes.
The Goodyears Ahead campaign also contains a social media component in which Titan will collect nominations via Facebook and Twitter of "those in agriculture who are working hard to put food on our tables," according to company officials. Entries must be received by June 12. Winners, who will receive a Goodyear Farm Tires cooler, will be notified by June 16.
"To us, this is more than a campaign or a giveaway - it's a way to say thank you," says Kim Boccardi, vice president of marketing at Titan. "Now more than ever, we need to show our appreciation for those who continue on every day caring for livestock and putting seeds in the ground. We're extremely thankful for the resiliency and determination of producers, farmers and growers everywhere."
