VIP Tires & Service recently donated more than $97,000 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The funds were raised during the dealership’s annual Season of Wishes Campaign. VIP stores in Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Vermont contributed.
Since 2017, VIP has raised more than $582,000 for Make-A-Wish via the annual fundraising effort.
“Funds are raised annually with individual donations made by VIP employees and customers and then matched 100% by VIP Chairman John Quirk,” say VIP officials.
The company’s 2019 donation was 20% higher than the amount it raised during 2018, “demonstrating the continued and renewed commitment VIP employees and customers have to the annual campaign.”
VIP presented a check to Make-A-Wish on Jan. 22.
“I would like to extend a huge thank you to the generous employees and customers for making this Make-A-Wish donation possible,” says Tim Winkeler, the dealership’s president and CEO.
“We are once again so incredibly grateful for the difference VIP is making for our kids,” says Kate Vickery, executive director of Make-A-Wish’s Maine chapter.
