Oliver Rubber Expands Ultra Low Profile Retread Offerings

Sept. 13, 2017

Oliver Rubber Co. LLC is adding the Ultra Low Profile (ULP) Vantage Drive tire retread to its lineup for line haul and regional commercial trucks. The ULP Vantage Drive retread is a SmartWay-verified, wide-base retread for the drive axle position. Oliver, a wholly owned subsidiary of Michelin North America Inc., says the retread is designed to offer traction and wear, and thus is a good fit for 18-wheel vehicles.

“Keeping America’s goods and freight moving is critical for today’s supply chain,” sasy Adam Murphy, vice president of marketing for Michelin Americas Truck Tires. “Oliver continues to earn our customers’ trust from 100-plus years of retreading experience that helps them keep their business moving.”

The ULP Vantage Drive tread features VDI Plus. The tread resists stone retention, other road debris and helps enforce any pull-point schedule. Pressed with Oliver’s proprietary compound, the retread is designed to provide good tread wear and low rolling resistance. ULP Vantage Drive is available in a 390 width.
