Titan International Inc. has announced its year 2000 results.
Titan's net sales for the year 2000 totaled $543.1 million, nearly a $45 million drop from 1999. The Quincy, Ill.-based tiremaker's year 2000 net income was $4.5 million, down from $11.4 million the year before.
Titan's fourth quarter net sales reached $113.4 million, a $21 million decrease from the same period during 1999.
Company President and CEO Morry Taylor blamed losses on the United States' "economic downturn."
