Virginia tire dealers prepare for 'Network 2001'

The Virginia Tire and Automotive Service Dealers Association will hold its dealer convention, "Network 2001," March 30-April 1 at the Omni Hotel in Charlottesville, Va.

Speakers at this year's convention include Jack Phillips from the Heafner Tire Group, Greg Ring from Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. and Captain Dennis Robertson from the Virginia State Police Department.

On Saturday, March 31, Modern Tire Dealer Editor Bob Ulrich will moderate a panel discussion on current issues affecting independent tire dealers. Four Virginia tire dealers will man the panel: Terry Westhafer, Central Tire Co.; Jack Tatum, Leete Tire & Auto; Tony Troilo, Rosson & Troilo; and Joe Thompson, Thompson Tire Co. Troilo was MTD's Tire Dealer of the Year in 1995.

On Sunday, April 1, Ross Kogel Jr., executive vice president of the Tire Association of North America, will give the keynote speech.
