Hercules Adds Road Hazard Policy to Ironman PLT Tires

July 5, 2018

Hercules Tire and Rubber Co. is adding road hazard protection to select passenger and light truck tires in the Ironman brand sold in the U.S. and Canada.

The Ironman Road Hazard Protection Policy promises free replacement with a comparable Ironman brand tire within the first 12 months of purchase, of 2/32nd of treadwear, whichever comes first. It covers tires damaged as the result of common road hazards like potholes or nails encountered during the course of normal on-road driving.

After the initial 12 months, a prorated credit is provided within two years of purchase, or the first 50% of tread life, whichever comes first.

Coverage is available for tires purchased on or after July 1, 2018.

“The added benefit of Road Hazard coverage on the expanding lineup of Ironman Tires allows our customers and the end consumer to rest easy knowing they’re not only getting a quality tire at an affordable price, but also the confidence of superior support which should make the decision to purchase the Ironman brand an easy one,” says Joshua Simpson, senior vice president of proprietary brands for American Tire Distributors Inc. (ATD) Hercules is a wholly owned subsidiary of ATD.
