Nexen Tire America Inc. partnered with the 6th annual ESPN LA Golf Classic charity event to benefit the V Foundation for Cancer Research.
The golf event was held on June 4, 2018, at Industry Hills Golf Course in City of Industry, Calif. This is the fourth year Nexen has supported the event.
Nexen’s donations and participation helped ESPN conduct the event, which allows supporters to play golf among celebrity athletes and meet ESPN LA radio personalities.
In addition to a monetary donation, Nexen also gave 2 sets of tires as part of a raffle drawing for event participants.
All proceeds from the annual event are donated to the V Foundation for Cancer Research, a nonprofit founded by basketball coach Jim Valvano after his own cancer diagnosis.
The V Foundation has awarded more than $200 million in cancer research grants nationwide and become one of the leading supporters of cutting-edge cancer research.
