The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. is strongly considering holding its dealer meeting in conjunction with the this year's International Tire Exposition (ITE) in Las Vegas, Nev.
During last Saturday's Rolex 24-hour race at Daytona Beach, Fla., Goodyear officials implied that a tie-in with the ITE might be the best way to go. Moving the meeting from February to November would give the company adequate time to prepare for a new product launch as well.
The template for such a launch would be last year's Aquatred III introduction, which was backed by a national advertising campaign and adequate inventory for dealers, according to Goodyear.
