The brands from Bridgestone Corp. no longer hold the exclusive rights to shelf space at most of the nation's Speedco stores.
Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores, which bought the Speedco chain from Bridgestone in September, says 46 of the 52 locations are also offering Aeolus, Goodyear, Yokohama and Love's retread tires.
It's the same lineup already available at Love's Truck Tire Care locations.
“By offering more tire brands at Speedco locations, our technicians can examine the driver or fleet’s budget and goals and provide them with more options for recommendations,” says Aaron Aylworth, director of Speedco operations. “When Love’s acquired Speedco last year, the goal was to serve the trucking community in more ways, and providing them with more tire choices at Speedco stores is one way we are doing that.”
Speedco continues to offer Bridgestone- and Firestone-brand tires, as well as services such as diesel oil changes, federal inspections and battery work. Speedco plans to add light mechanical services at its locations this year.
Love’s Truck Tire Care locations already offer light mechanical repairs.
