Goodyear Designs New Pursuit Tire for Year-Round Use

Jan. 30, 2018

The new Eagle Enforcer All Weather police tire from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. is designed to provide year-round performance for law enforcement fleets.

“This tire is for law enforcement agencies that need the enhanced winter traction of a mountain snowflake tire and the reliability and responsiveness of a pursuit tire,” says Andy Traicoff, vice president, North America Sales.

The Goodyear Eagle Enforcer All Weather tire features:

  • a multi-zoned tread compound that helps increase grip for superior handling and enhanced cornering stability;
  • a soy-based rubber compound with silica that helps deliver commanding traction in all weather conditions, while enhancing tread life;
  • an asymmetric tread design with sweeping tread grooves that offer powerful traction and control, as well as enhanced steering response, and;
  • aggressive shoulder blocks and wide lateral grooves to provide confident maneuverability in every weather condition.

Goodyear says the Eagle Enforcer All Weather tire will be available in the most popular pursuit vehicle sizes in the market: 265/60R17, 225/60R18 and 245/55R18.

The company introduced the Eagle Enforcer tire at its 2018 Customer Conference in Nashville, Tenn. Jan. 25-28.

Modern Tire Dealer also covered the release of the new Assurance MaxLife at Goodyear's dealer conference. The new passenger tire has an 85,000-mile tread wear warranty.

There were 1,550 dealers representing 450 dealerships at the conference. Company employees and vendors added about 500 people, bringing attendance to more than 2,000. Visit Modern Tire Dealer's photo gallery to see who was there and the products that were on display.
