Tyre Retreading Machinery SRL (TRM) has created a new line of automated retreading equipment for the U.S. market, and the Italian company has picked Shamrock Marketing Inc. of Louisville, Ky., to be the authorized dealer.
The Latitude line is built around a robotic style buffing machine that's designed to minimize process time, cut labor, and increase consistency in buff texture. TRM's goal with the Latitude line is to help retreading be more competitive with cheap, low quality, new tires. With automation, a retread shop will require fewer technicians which will help "retreaders overcome many of the labor challenges they face today."
The official launch of the equipment line will be held in March during the Mid-American-Truck-Show with live demonstrations at Shamrock Marketing's facility. “Our vision is to bring automation to the retreading process and offer a complete alternative to the market in the U.S.," says Alessandro Villa, general manager of TRM. "We believe that our portfolio combined with the service and support of Shamrock offers an unbeatable value to the end client.”

TRM manufactures tire retreading systems, and for more than 35 years has delivered solutions for all tire segments. The company also works with tire manufacturers in new tire production.
