Yokohama Promotes Jeff Barna to President

Jeff Barna, who joined Yokohama Tire Corp. (YTC) as its chief operating officer in January 2017, has been named the company's new president. His promotion is one of three top leadership changes for the tire company's North American marketing and manufacturing business.

Barna's expanded role will include oversight of Yokohama's original equipment sales, export sales and human resources functions, in addition to his existing responsibilities of sales, marketing, product management, supply chain and logistics, project management and business analytics.

He replaces Shinichi Takimoto, who has been named CEO of each of the company's business units in North America: YTC, Yokohama Tire Canada and Yokohama Tire Mexico S. de R.L. de C.V.

Hideto Katsuragawa was named chairman of YTC. Katsuragawa is a board member and senior managing corporate officer of Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd., and remains CEO and president of Yokohama Corp. of North America, which oversees all Yokohama-related business in the continent.

All three promotions are effective immediately.
