Record Q3 sales for Tire Factory

Oct. 25, 2011

Tire Factory has announced record comparable-store sales growth through the 3rd quarter of 2011.

Comparable-store units were up 15% and member purchases were up 37% through three quarters. Comparable-store sales and units are of those stores that have been a member of Tire Factory for at least one year.

“Our Members are doing very well with many of the new value add programs. We are on track to payout record volume bonuses and ad rebates in excess of $2 million dollars for 2011”, said chief executive officer John Kreidel. “Tire Factory owners are winning more business every single day. Kreidel says Tire Factory’s members have focused their purchases with the company’s VIP key vendor program that features “the best recognized tire brands in the world such as Goodyear, Yokohama, Falken, Hankook and Nokian Tyres.”

Tire Factory has aggressive membership growth plans in the markets serviced by its Portland, Ore., Salt Lake City, Utah and Denver, Colo. distribution centers.

“Our goal is to add a minimum of 20 qualified independent tire dealers in 2012 alone”, Kreidel said.

Chris Cornelius, chairman of the board and co-owner of Clair & Dee’s Tire Factory in Rexburg, Idaho commented on the results saying, “What astonishing results can be achieved when our members work in concert together. We have just begun to get the Tire Factory model rolling; just wait for 2012!”

Tire Factory is a member-owned organization of independent tire dealers. The company has grown steadily by providing its members enhanced marketing and buying programs. The members operate more than 200 retail locations serving 15 western states with end-consumer sales in excess of $300 million.

Earlier this year, the company expanded in Colorado.
