Zurcher sells 20 group interest to Gaither
Stu Zurcher, co-owner and founder of Dealer Strategic Planning Inc. (DSP), has elected to sell his investment in the 20 group business to Norm Gaither after four successful years. Over that time, nearly 100 dealers joined 20 groups developed by DSP.
The retail 20 group business, based in Virginia Beach, Va., will continue its operations under the leadership of Gaither, a well-known aftermarket business consultant; Pat Brown, vice president of marketing; and Paul Chizeck, vice president of operations.
Zurcher, with more than 30 years of experience in retail and commercial operations, says he will be developing a new 20 group company targeting commercial tire dealers.
“I saw the opportunity to branch out and grow a complimentary business using the proven 20 group concept to assist commercial dealers in improving their profitability," says Zurcher. "I will now have the time to devote my resources toward building this new business venture.”
According to Gaither, DSP will continue to provide effective solutions to common challenges among tire dealer using the talents of Brown and Chizeck and the experiences of the members.
“One of the most beneficial outcomes of a 20 group membership is the learning that comes from the dealers as they share experiences and explore options in our open forums during the meetings,” he says.
