March 22, 2011

As Formula 1 racing returns for the 2011 season – the series’ official tire supplier is offering race fans the opportunity to take part in the action and excitement in the Pirelli GP Challenge through a fun sport prediction competition.  The Pirelli GP Challenge is an online contest open to all residents of the USA and Canada where registered participants can share their predictions for which drivers will win place and show in every Formula One Grand Prix in 2011.  F1 fans can share their top picks for 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions prior to each race via the contest website (www.pirelligpchallenge.com).  The top performers will win luxury trips to upcoming Formula 1 grands prix, Sony 3D televisions, iPads and much more.  No purchase is necessary to play.  Participants may enter one (1) prediction per grand prix.

Registration is currently open for the upcoming Australia GP and is easy and simple. Click the “Join the Competition” tab on the website to register.  Participants will be asked to start playing by choosing their predicted winners for the next GP as well as for each cycle of four-grands prix.  Predictions on finish order, tire type and pit stop length earn contestants up to 25 points per race.  Participants in the Pirelli GP Challenge must enter 3 predictions per Grand Prix to collect points and the earliest correct predictions win.

Winning the Pirelli GP Challenge is not based on one’s knowledge and skill of Formula One.  Information about each race is available online and through the Pirelli GP Challenge website.
