The new General G-Max AS-03 eventually will replace the General Exclaim UHP line beginning April 4, 2011. At that time, the G-Max AS-03 will be available in 35 sizes.
According to Joe Maher, passenger and performance product manager for Continental Tire the Americas LLC, six are 20-inch sizes not available in the Exclaim UHP line.
By August, all 63 sizes will be available. The W-rated sizes range from 205/55R16 through 275/30R20. Two sizes, 195/55R15 and 195/55R16, are V-rated.
The G-Max AS-03 is the first in what Maher says will be General’s G-Max family of UHP tires. The company is “still discussing” other family members, including a G-Max summer tire and additional 20-inch sizes for the AS-03 -- perhaps 305 and 315.
“We don’t have anything on the shelf,” he adds.
