Bridgestone raises truck tire prices

Feb. 1, 2011

Bridgestone Bandag Tire Solutions has instituted a 12% price increase on its Bridgestone and Firestone brand radial truck and bus tires in the United States.

The company last raised prices on its Bridgestone and Firestone truck tires on Nov. 1, 2010. It discontinued its Dayton medium truck tire and radial bus tire line on Jan. 1 of this year.

“Unfortunately, severely escalating raw material costs, as well as energy and other costs related to manufacturing, have made a price increase of this level unavoidable,” says Kurt Danielson, president of Bridgestone Bandag. “We remain committed always to provide a premium package of quality and value to our customers.”

Bridgestone Bandag is a division of Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations LLC.
