SEMA offers new booth reservation process

Potential exhibitors at upcoming Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) events have a new way to reserve booth space.

"In the next few weeks, our exhibitors and prospective exhibitors will receive prospectus packages" about next year's SEMA Spring Expo, International Auto Salon and SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nev., says SEMA Vice President of Marketing Peter MacGillivray.

Exhibitors at one or more shows will reserve space by filling out a rental agreement and returning it to SEMA with a deposit.

Exhibitors will then receive a notice of a prescheduled phone call from SEMA management during which exhibitors will select their own space.

"Both the exhibitor and the show management company will be viewing the show's floor plan on the Internet during this call," says MacGillivray.

A company's history of participating in a show determines its seniority among fellow exhibitors.

Deadline for the SEMA Spring Expo rental agreement and deposit is Sept. 30; exhibitors will choose their booth locations the week of Oct. 20.

Deadline for the SEMA International Auto Salon rental agreement and deposit is Nov. 14.

Deadline for the 2004 SEMA Show, which includes the International Tire Expo, is Dec. 1.
