In his new position, Chuck Sinclair will report directly to Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. President and CEO Bob Keegan; he replaces Robert O' Leary, who has left the company to work for Sears, Roebuck and Co.
Sinclair most recently served as vice president of communications and public relations for Goodyear's North American Tire unit, a position he held since 1997.
"Chuck Sinclair is a highly regarded communications leader in our company and within our industry," says Keegan.
Sinclair joined Goodyear in 1984 as public relations manager at the tiremaker's Lincoln, Neb., plant.
O'Leary has taken the position of Sears' senior vice president, public relations, community and government affairs.
