Cincinnati, Ohio-based Tire Discounters Inc. plans to add at least six new stores by the end of the year.
Three are currently under construction in the greater Cincinnati and Dayton, Ohio, and northern Kentucky areas, according to Tire Discounters President Chip Wood.
They are expected to open within the next two weeks.
"Three (more stores) are going through zoning," says Wood. "We expect to open (them) by the end of the year."
Tire Discounters is the 30th largest independent tire store chain in North America with 35 outlets, according to Modern Tire Dealer data.
