Hankook hires familiar face as marketing director

May 6, 2003

Longtime industry veteran Bill Bainbridge has joined Hankook Tire America Corp. as marketing director.

His responsibilities will include the development and management of the company’s overall marketing strategy, including advertising, sales promotion, motorsports, public relations and special events.

Bainbridge previously has worked with Toyo Tire (U.S.A.) Corp., Michelin Americas Small Tires, the former BFGoodrich Tire Company and the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA).

During his 25-year career he also has served as a consultant to a number of manufacturers and resellers in the automotive aftermarket, and has been a featured speaker at trade events in the United States, Japan and Mexico.

"As a marketing communicator, my objective is to energize people to think differently and act accordingly," he says. "My strategy is to communicate with and motivate people to travel on new roads that initiate new ideas and better results rather than down the road that simply repeats yesterday."
