American Tire Distributors (ATD) is now shipping tires out of its new, 70,000-square-foot distribution center in Des Moines, Iowa.
"We've served Des Moines area dealers for some time, but our new facility provides our customers with several new advantages including daily deliveries and an updated facility with greater capacity for inventory," says Larry Stoddard, ATD's regional vice president, Midwest Region.
ATD also moved into its Mobile, Ala., warehouse earlier this month and expects its new facility in Springfield, Mo., to be operational by the end of the second quarter.
ATD is the ninth largest independent tire dealership in North America with 62 warehouses servicing 35 states, according to Modern Tire Dealer data.
