Potosi, Mo.-based Purcell Tire & Rubber Co. is planning to open two new retail outlets in Phoenix, Ariz., this year.
One is slated to open in May or June and the other will open later in the year, according to Chuck Pilliod, Purcell's vice president of finance.
Purcell already has 20 stores in Phoenix. "It's our largest market," says Pilliod.
The new outlets will contain six to eight bays each and will sell Goodyear, Dunlop, Kelly and Hankook passenger, performance and light truck tires.
Purcell Tire is the ninth largest independent tire dealership in North America with 62 outlets, according to Modern Tire Dealer statistics.
