Hercules Tire & Rubber Co. has launched its latest "S" series radial medium truck tire.
The Hercules S-209 features a shallow tread design. The tread pattern is engineered for long mileage and resistance to irregular wear, according to the company.
Two sizes of the tire will be manufactured: 225/70R19.5 12 ply, which is available now, and 245/70R19.5 14 ply. The latter size will be available in the spring.
The Hercules brand accounts for 1.5% of the domestic truck tire market, according to Modern Tire Dealer's 2003 Facts Issue.
