Fitment Group Inc. is offering free monthly retail tire pricing reports to tire retailers, distributors and manufacturers. The data will be delivered monthly via email to participating parties at no cost beginning the first week of July 2015.
The company’s retail tire price summary report includes:
* 90-day rolling tire price trend report;
* 12-month rolling tire price data; and
* rolling 12-month graph.
Ten popular passenger tire sizes and two popular light truck tire sizes are in the retail tire pricing summary according to Fitment Group. The Duluth, Minn.-based company says it collects and analyzes pricing for millions of SKUs weekly.
The free monthly report will include the lowest price identified for these sizes as identified from multiple major metropolitan markets.
Eighty-five percent of consumers state that price is major factor when considering tires to purchase, according to J.P. Brooks, director of business development for the Fitment Group. “Having a compelling pricing strategy and being aware of market trends is an important step to being relevant in the marketplace.”
