Goodyear tire notes for Pocono and Texas

June 2, 2015

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series: Race No. 14 – Axalta “We Paint Winners” 400,
Pocono Raceway (2.5-mile triangle) – Long Pond, Pa., June 5-7, 2015

Tire: Goodyear Eagle Speedway Radials

Set limits: 5 sets for practice/qualifying, and 8 sets for the race

Notes: This is the same combination of left- and right-side tires that
NASCAR Sprint Cup teams have run at Pocono since June 2012.
Pocono is the only track on which either of these tires are scheduled to
be run, as on all NASCAR ovals greater than one mile in length,
teams are required to run inner liners on all four tire positions.
At Pocono air pressure in those inner liners should be 12-25 psi
greater than that of the outer tire.

NASCAR Camping World Truck Series: Race No. 7 – WinStar World Casino & Resort 400, Texas Motor Speedway (1.5-mile oval) – Fort Worth, Tex., June 4-5, 2015

Tire: Goodyear Eagle Speedway Radials

Set limits: 6 sets for the event

Notes: This is the same combination of left- and right-side tires that
NASCAR Camping World Truck Series teams ran at Texas last year.
This right-side tire employs Goodyear's multi-zone tread technology, which
combines two distinct tread compounds on the same tire. The outboard
10 inches of the tread features a compound that is designed for grip,
while the inboard two inches of the tread is toughened to enhance
durability on the part of the tire sees the most heat and takes the
most abuse.

This is the same tire set-up NASCAR Sprint Cup and
Xfinity Series teams ran at Texas in April. On all NASCAR ovals
greater than one mile in length, teams are required to run inner liners.
On all four tire positions at Texas air pressure in those inner
liners should be 12-25 psi greater than that of the outer tire.
