T.O. Haas earns OSHA recognition

Sept. 19, 2008

Lincoln, Neb.-based T.O. Haas Tire has been certified by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Award Program.

The program recognizes small businesses who operate "exemplary safety and health management systems," say T.O. Haas officials.

"We've been working hard on reaching certification status for nearly two years," says Randy Haas, the dealership's owner. "We have identified hazards in the workplace and corrected them, then we shared that information with OSHA officials to significantly reduce job-related injury and illness."

T.O. Haas has 26 outlets throughout Nebraska, Iowa and Kansas and is the 47th largest independent tire store chain in the United States, according to Modern Tire Dealer research.
