Henry Schmitt, a Michelin North America Inc. veteran of 33 years, has joined an investment banking firm as managing director.
Schmitt, who most recently served as technical and manufacturing director for Michelin Tweel Technologies, and before that was president of Michelin Retread Technologies Inc., is joining Skyway Capital Markets LLC.
He'll focus on the commercial tire market, light manufacturing, and other middle market industrial businesses. Schmitt will help companies with merger and acquisition activities, financing growth, and market consolidation on the buy or the sell side.
He earned his bachelor's degree at the University of South Florida, as well as a master's degree in mechanical engineering. He also holds a patent in the retreading process technology.
