Burt Brothers Opens Store No. 12

Nov. 13, 2019

Seven months after nearly all of the Firestone Complete Auto Care stores in Salt Lake City closed, Burt Brothers Tire & Service Inc. has acquired and reopened one of those locations. It gives Burt Brothers 12 retail stores.

The family-owned tire dealership, a major Bridgestone and Firestone dealer, moved quickly after Bridgestone Retail Operations LLC closed 13 of its 14 Firestone outlets in the region. Jeremy Burt, an owner of the company, told Modern Tire Dealer at the time that Burt Brothers wanted to capture the left-behind consumers, as well as employees.

Burt Brothers has acquired the former Firestone business in Draper, Utah. The store has 12 bays and a lube center for quick oil changes. A new, sleek showroom is in the works. It's scheduled to be complete in spring 2020.

The showroom will display Burt Brothers' extensive lineup of Firestone tires, as well other key brands, including Bridgestone, Goodyear, Kelly, Pirelli, Dunlop, Michelin, Toyo, Continental and Hankook.

“We are told that other Firestone stores around the state are being torn down and replaced with other types of businesses, but we are very excited about acquiring this store and continuing to provide top quality tires and service for all the loyal Firestone customers and Draper residents,” says Jeremy Burt.

The Draper location will offer Burt Brothers' standard extras for consumers, including free Wi-Fi and water, plus "immaculate" restrooms. The store is served by ASE-certified technicians and is AAA-accredited.

Burt says this location fills a void for the company in the south end of the Salt Lake area.

“Our goal is to make our services accessible to everyone in the Northern Utah area, but this was a bit of a dead spot for us,” said Burt. “We are now able to serve the people of Draper with all of their automotive needs.”
