Car telematics was a big topic of discussion at this year's Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association's (AAIA) Fall Leadership Days, held recently in San Antonio, Texas.

During the event, Derek Kaufman, president of C3 Network Inc., discussed how the aftermarket can turn telematics technology into business opportunities.

More than 400 volunteers and industry guests attended the event, which ran from Sept. 3-5 and encompassed a total of 25 meetings.

"The record number of industry volunteer leaders who participated in Leadership Days in these tough economic times is a testament to the value of gathering at a forum for networking, strategic thinking and face-to-face problem solving," says Kathleen Schmatz, AAIA president and CEO.
