TBC Brands LLC is combining and updating two winter tires for passenger, pickup truck and SUV applications with a single new design: the Arctic Claw Winter WXI. The tire replaces the Arctic Claw Winter TXI for passenger vehicles and the Arctic Claw Winter XSI for trucks and SUVs. TBC says the new tire meets the severe snow service requirements for the three-peak mountain snowflake symbol in both the U.S. and Canada.
The Arctic Claw Winter WXI features wide tread grooves and multiple sipes for enhanced traction in snow and slush. The tire is designed to accept optional metal studs, and provides additional grip and support in freezing rain, sleet and wet ice for sedans, CUVs, SUVs and light-duty pickup trucks.
The Arctic Claw Winter WXI is available in 91 metric and LT sizes with rims ranging from 14 inches to 20 inches.
