Hankook Has a New Ultra-Super Single Drive Tire

May 6, 2019

Hankook Tire America Corp. has added the e3 Wide DL21 ultra-super single drive tire to its truck and bus radial (TBR) lineup.

The new e3 Wide DL21 offers greater longevity and mileage over its predecessor, the DL07.

Hankook says the e3 Wide DL21 delivers a 2% increase in mileage and a 10% increase in rolling resistance over the DL07.

The tread pattern features Hankook’s three-dimensional siping technology to increase overall traction, lifespan and performance. The redesigned tread includes seven main grooves to reduce tread block cracking throughout its longer lifespan.

At the heart of the e3 Wide DL21’s improvements is Hankook Smartec TBR technology. Smartec is an integrated manufacturing process combining the five main tire performance factors of safety, mleage, anti chip-cut, retreadability and traction.
