Sumitomo Rubber Industries Ltd.'s board of directors recently elected and approved the appointment of Satoru Yamamoto to CEO, president and representative director. He is currently a director of the company.
Yamamoto will replace Ikuji Ikeda, formerly CEO, president and representative director. Ikeda was elected chairman; he will also retain his representative director title.
If approved by the shareholders at the next Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders, scheduled for March 26, 2019, Yamamoto and Ikeda will assume their new positions immediately.
