Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. has promoted Jean-Claude Kihn to senior vice president and chief technical officer, effective Jan. 1. He replaces Joe Gingo, who is retiring from Goodyear.
Kihn currently is the general director of Goodyear's technical center in Akron, Ohio.
Kihn joined Goodyear in 1988 to work at Goodyear's technical center in Luxembourg as a compounder.
In subsequent years, he held several positions with Goodyear's Asian and Latin American business units before being promoted to his current job in 2005.
On Jan. 1, Gingo will become CEO and president of Akron, Ohio-based polymer company A. Schulman Inc.
