Toyo Tire & Rubber Co. Ltd. has named Kenji Nakakura its new CEO and president, effective Jan. 1. He also will serve as a representative director for Toyo and will continue to serve as a Toyo board member.
Nakakura replaces Yoshio Kataoka, who will become advisor to Toyo's president and will continue serving as a member of the company's board.
"Nakakura brings a vast amount of experience to this position, having served as a managing executive officer for the company and president of Toyo’s DiverTech business prior to this appointment," say Toyo officials. (DiverTech manages and oversees both chemical and industrial products, as well as Toyo's automotive parts division.)
