Industry veterans launch AutoTech Consulting

Dec. 4, 2007

Two tire industry veterans, Jim Bundick and Brian Sexton, have teamed up to create AutoTech Consulting Group. The Williamsburg, Va.-based company provides business solutions to the automotive aftermarket.

Between the two of them, Bundick and Sexton have held senior-level positions with the Sears Automotive Group, Tire America, National Tire Warehouse (NTW), Tire Kingdom Inc., Pep Boys-Manny, Moe & Jack and CarMax Inc. They have a combined 50-plus years of experience in the industry.

"We're unlike those large consulting houses that have no real direct experience in the automotive industry," says Bundick. "We can provide real time practical business solutions that come from years of working directly in the industry."

AutoTech's primary customer base includes automotive tire and service retailers, distributors, buying and marketing groups, and manufacturers of tires and parts. Its areas of expertise include the following:

* business development and sales.

* merchandising.

* strategy and organization.

* operations management.

* training.

* growth initiatives.

"At AutoTech, we strive to create collaborative working environments with all our clients regardless of size," says Sexton. "We have personal experience working in firms ranging in size from $15 million to $2.5 billion in annual revenues."
