Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. will promote Allen Tsaur to vice president and general manager of its Asian operations, effective next month.
He replaces the company’s interim head of Asian operations, Ron Shield, who is retiring at the end of this year.
Tsaur joined Cooper in January 2007 and since then has managed the company’s business development in all functional administrative areas. He currently serves as general manager of Cooper's China operations.
Reporting to Tsaur as general manager for the China operation will be Liak Sze "Alex" Koi, a new addition to Cooper's China team. Koi most recently served as president of HighTeam Communications, a marketing services firm in China.
In related news, Michael Cati will become deputy general manager of Cooper's Asian operations, a new position at Cooper Tire Asia, reporting directly to Tsaur.
